E-Vehicle Scenario
The vehicles in Kolkata are registered across 7 Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) namely PVD Kolkata, Kasba, Salt Lake, Behala, Alipore, Barrackpore, and Barasat. The EV Registration in West Bengal and Kolkata during 2013-2022 is shown in the figure below. It is observed that there is an increasing trend of adoption of EV in Kolkata over the years, except for the fall during the COVID period of 2020-21.
